Inclusion

Inclusive education is about ensuring access to quality education for all students by effectively meeting their diverse needs in a way that is responsive, accepting, respectful and supportive. 

GEMS Modern Academy has a strong commitment to the inclusion and pastoral support of all our families and students, which includes students who are identified with Special Educational Needs. 

The Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework (2017) is incorporated and guides all working practices and systems at GEMS Modern Academy.  

 We welcome students with diverse learning needs and equip them to become independent learners, learning and making progress with their peers. 

Support for students starts from the day of admission, with a thorough identification process to ensure that appropriate support is available; and continues with ongoing identification and support through the academic and student support networks. 

Inclusion is truly at the heart of everything we do at Modern. It helps create a more positive sense of belonging with the community, and teaches vital life lessons in respect, tolerance and resilience.
